I have covered the Flag Day parade two dozen times as a newsphotographer, but this year was the first time I was in the parade and went the entire route. What a great crowd and a tremendous parade. Kudos to all on the committee who work so hard every year to make this patriotic event happen.
I rode on the AquaDuck with Captain Harry Von Wormer and Mayoral candidate Carmella Mantello. It was a great experience. Cpt. Harry has been training me to operate the Duck, and for now I am better off driving the trolley. The Duck is tough to operate and he makes it look easy.
